14 - The South Beach Diet

The South Beach diet was developed by the renowned cardiologist Dr. Arthur Agatston. It’s divided into three phases, with the first two that you keep to for a specific time frame and the last (or “maintenance”) which you have to follow for life.
 

10 - The Metabolism Diet

According to the Metabolism Diet, if you eat a certain combination of food, you initiate a chemical reaction where (gasp!) your metabolism works faster and burns more calories. This diet plan is the opposite of many soup diets as they usually promote just eating one type of food over a longer period of time.

1 - The Atkins Diet

The Atkins diet is a low-carb diet, and operates on the logic that when you deprive your body of carbs, you force it to start a process called lipolysis/ketosis, when it starts to burn fat. The diet is therefore also known asa ketosis diet.
