I hear many friends lamenting that they slim downneed help with dieting. “Come on Delilah tell us what we should eat to lose weight!” “Delilah I tried to follow your advice but it doesn’t work.” “Delilah help me, losing weight is so hard!

Yes, you are damn right - it IS hard. Some people seems to expect that dieting is a piece of cake - let me tell you it is not!

Dieting is not a fun thing that you can just do for a week and shed a few points. I mean you can, but if you diet this way you will become victim to the famous jojo-effect (like Janet Jackson) and will put on the weight again with an instant.

Actually most people don’t need help with dieting. They know very well that they should eat healthy, drink a lot and exercise and adhere to all the other stories that I preach on this website. The problem is that they then don’t stick to them and that they don’t understand that dieting is largely a mental issue.

If you are really convinced to lose weight you CAN do it. If you just do it because someone said it would be good for you to shed a few points I guarantee you you won’t have success.
Deep inside of you you have to tell yourself “YES, I WANT TO DIET” “YES, I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT” only then you will be able to overcome your innter temptations and only then you will be able to keep up with a diet for longer than a couple of weeks.

The media tries to show us every day how easy it is to lose weight. You see those starlets on the red carpet and when asked about their figure they just say “Well I can eat whatever I want to, I stay slim because of my genes!”

Frankly speaking, this is absolute nonsense, but this illusion causes millions of women around the world to engage in wrong diet efforts, namely one-week crash diets. However, I guess we all know these won’t lead to long term success and we are fully aware of what we should do to reduce weight.

Therefore, don’t cry for help with dieting, help youself! I know you can do it.
Yours,
Delilah

I’m so sorry if I’m out of line here - but I guess the you’ll will let me know! I tried to find some contact information . . .

A friend of mine and myself launched an innovative new website called Compete2Beat . . .http://www.compete2beat.com.

We’re trying to get some feedback on how it’s working, what changes need to be made, etc. and I thought approaching you might be a good place to start.

A little about the website - it’s designed so that people can get into shape with teams - and help from their teammates. Once you are on a team (max five people) you can see what your teammates are eating, if they are working out, and encourage them to keep to a good diet/exercise schedule. Or if people are like me, I tend to be more competitive and if my friends are working out more, I’ll go to the gym more! An additional twist, is that you can compete against another team. The team to reach their goal in the given amount of time wins.

    Thank you!

    Anna

my biggest problem is snacking… to help me cut out snacking i use Burner Balm. burner balm carries me between each meal keeping the urge to snack at bay. it has made all of my dieting more successful and i am thankful. i found even when i eat healthy meals the snacks i eat in between are packed with sugar and carbs.
