Anyway, the most popular diet soup certainly is the cabbage soup. This diet where you eat cabbage soup for 7 days to shed some pounds is advertised everywhere. According to a lot of people the cabbage soup diet, which I have already written an article about, it really works.
Another soup diet that is quite popular is the chicken soup diet. Most people love chicken soup and it also reminds many of their childhood. Therefore, it is understandable that most of the people who start this diet are also able to stick to it for the 8 days that it lasts. You shouldn’t just eat the soup for losing weight, but you should eat chicken soup for the soul.
Another diet soup that has been around for some time now is the Sacred Heart soup diet that is also based on vegetable diet soups. Additional to the soup you can eat vegetables and fruit according to a strict plan. Like the cabbage soup diet it is a 7 day soup diet.
However, a lot of nutrition experts say that those soup diet plans often lead to the fact that you are not having a
healthy nutrition. Eating diet soups might not necessarily mean eating healthy. Nutritionists therefore claim that by adopting a healthy and balanced diets people can achieve much more than with such a crash diet. In fact they even claim that diets like the cabbage soup diet can undermine your health and also lead to physical discomfort.
These soups also violate the first principle of good and strong>healthy nutrition: include a variety of foods in your diet. Most soup diets are about eating one type of food the whole week and this certainly is no proper nutrition plus people get bored of the same type of food easily. Furthermore diet experts are opponents of diet soups as they lack relevant vitamins and fibers that should be contained in a healthy diet.
Anyway, it is proven that these soup diets bring at least short term success if you stick to them. And incorporating more low calorie soups in your nutrition plan can only be of advantage as they are healthy and good and will for sure help you on your way to diet success.
