I simply love this vegetable. Not only that it tastes really good, it is low in calories, high in vitamines and can be enjoyed in different delicious variations.

Even celery seeds can be used – as flavouring. Ever heard of celery salt? This is simply celery seeds or extracts from the celery root mixed with salts. I have baught one lately and I must say it really tastes good.
Medicine also recognizes celery as relieving pain and helping against inflammation. Seems like the perfect vegetable, doesn’t it?
Well there is ONE problem with celery, which is that some people believe that it is difficult to digest. Personally speaking I have never had digestion problems from celery that I was aware of, so I will keep on eating it.
Another benefit of celery: it is available all year round, so you can cook delicious celery dishes every month.
I am a big fan of soups! My mother used to make celery soup very often when I was younger and I somehow found the recipe again. Here you find a recipe that is quite similar. Try it out!
If you are not in the mood for soup there are various delicious ways in which you can enjoy your celery: celery salads, celery sandwiches, raw celery sticks with dips, celery juice, stuffed celery, celery and chicken,….I could continue this list forever.

    I have a weight loss secret also, It is the smart for life cookie program. I have been on the diet now for about 3 months now and i have lost a total of 32lbs. its incredible! All you have to do is eat 6 cookies a day, drink 8 oz. of water with each cookie, and then you have your first real meal of the day which is your dinner meal and its basically a substantial amount of protein and 2 vegetables. I am so happy with this diet i have done very well and i am very confident it wont be a yo yo diet for me becasue the doctor and the girls in the center are helping me to learn how to eat and keep the weight off.

    Thanks very much, great stuff! I’ve been tasked with making 5 different dips for our xmas party this year, so this is great. I also found this huge sauce recipes site with absolutely millions of ideas, but still can’t decide with so many to choose from!

    Hi everyone,
    I totally back this! A couple of years ago I lost 2 stone in the matter of a few months, my secret?
    I substituted snacks like crisps and chocolate and sweets for celery & ham, celery & beef, celery & turkey. they taste AMAZING and are soo low in calories but your still getting all the good stuff you need! also if your like me and ADORE your food, its awesome because it gives you something to chew! instead of silly soups & shakes/juices!

    Good luck anyone who brings in celery as part of a diet plan… it does work :)
