Ending the kitchen wars

“My husband and I love good eats. We enjoyed trying out new restaurants. We putter in the kitchen together. When something great happens, we celebrate by making elaborate dinners.
He wasn’t very happy about switching to what he calls my “cow food”—
salads, cereals.
And I didn’t feel like making two separate meals, to keep him happy while sticking to my diet. Despite everything I’d give up because it was simpler to just cook something he enjoyed.
We found a happy balance when I bought the book Why French Women Don’t Get Fat. It was about good cooking but gave really practical ways to stay on a diet. It wasn’t as strict as Atkins or South Beach and so my husband got his good food and I got to control my calories. I don’t lose weight as fast as the other programs but at least I can actually make it work in my life. Rianne, (STATE).
