A couple of days ago I stumbled over the headline "3 Secrets for Summer Weightloss" on a homepage.
It somehow caught my eyes and I was thinking it might be interesting for you, my readers. I read the whole article only to find out that those three secrets weren't so secret after all:
It somehow caught my eyes and I was thinking it might be interesting for you, my readers. I read the whole article only to find out that those three secrets weren't so secret after all:
Tip 1:
Stay focused on losing weight and burning fat but also stay calm and relaxed!
To me this is the mix of common sense and an impossibility. "Stay focused on losing weight" - of course you have to stay focused, watch what you eat and monitor your daily training rhythm closely in order to have the intended success. This is rather common sense to me than a recently discovered diet secret. "Stay calm and relaxed" - excuse my French, but everyone stating that you should stay relaxed while dieting obviously has no idea what he/she is talking about. Dieting means chastening yourself, means overcoming your inner temptations and this definitely is NOT fun and NOT relaxing and 99% of human beings on this earth can't relax while being on a diet. It is a constant struggle.
Tip 2:
Exercise as often as possible!
Who of you hasn't heard this dieting tip before? Already when I was little my mother told me to do sports to stay in shape - so no diet secret either. But the best about this paragraph is the second sentence "Models usually workout 2 times a day." For models their body is their capital. They get paid for looking their best, but we normal working people don't have time to work out 2 times a day and I think it is stupid to make people believe in that way that they are exercising too little. This comparison is just not feasible!
Tip 3:
Drink water and stay away from salt and wheat!
Don't think this is something new to anyone out there either! Drinking water is always healthy for your body and even more important when you are on a diet. Salt and wheat products might hinder your dieting efforts (depending on your diet program) and you should therefore stay away from that.

I am sorry that I could offer you no ground-breaking news today but I just felt the urge to comment on this article revealing all those "diet secrets" as I sometimes can't understand why people even take time to write articles like that.
Hope that my diet blog is more interesting than what I present to you today. Enjoy your summer!
Yours,
